  • Fill the Water Reservoir: Start by filling the machine's water reservoir. Use fresh, cold water, preferably filtered.
    This ensures the best taste and protects your machine from limescale buildup. Make sure to fill it up to the indicated line but not over it.
  • Turn On the Machine: Plug in your coffee pod machine and press the power button. Most machines have a light indicator that shows whether they are on and ready to brew. 
    Give it a few moments to heat up. Depending on the model, this usually takes 15-30 seconds.
  • Insert the Coffee Pod: Open the pod compartment of your machine. Then, place your chosen coffee pod securely in the pod holder. 
    Close the compartment firmly. If the compartment is not closed correctly, the machine may not start brewing or could potentially spray hot water.
  • Place a Cup Under the Dispenser: If your machine offers different brew sizes or strengths, select your preferred settings now.
    These could range from espresso shots to larger cups of coffee. Also, some machines offer settings for making cold beverages.
  • Start the Brewing Process: Press the brew button to start the coffee-making process. The machine will begin pumping hot water through the coffee pod, extracting the coffee directly into your cup. This typically takes about 20-30 seconds.
  • Wait for the Brewing to Complete: Watch as your coffee pours into the cup. The machine should automatically stop once the brewing cycle is complete.
    If your machine allows, press the button again to add more water for a milder coffee.
  • Remove Your Coffee Cup: Once the brewing process is complete and the coffee has stopped dispensing, carefully remove your cup. 
    Be cautious, as the coffee and the cup might be very hot.
  • Eject the Used Coffee Pod: After your coffee is brewed, don't forget to remove the used pod. Most machines have a function to eject the pod into a bin or a compartment for used pods. 
    Regularly empty this compartment to keep your machine clean and functional.
  •  Enjoy Your Coffee: Finally, enjoy your freshly brewed cup of coffee! Add milk, sugar, or whatever you like.
